An Infinite Balance

Cathy Lane is a Lake Macquarie Artist inspired by her beautiful surroundings. This series of paintings, sculptures, and video (video coming) have been inspired by the beautiful Lake Macquarie, NSW Australia. Cathy's  work explores the beauty and the fragility of the Lake and the dependence of birds and fish on the health of the ecosystem. Lake Macquarie has had a long history of mining and industry. This has changed over the years with the shutdown of mines and the rehabilitation of the sites. The people of Lake Macquarie and the local council are strong advocates for the beautification and preservation of the lake and its surrounding areas. This series is a celebration of the Lake and all the creatures which rely on it.
