"Bird Song 2050"

Bird Song 2050 was inspired by my love of birds and the natural environment. I have used birds as a visual metaphor to express my concern for our future and the future of the environment. These works are my Bird Song- messages sent from the future. In my 3D collages I have used signs and symbols from the past and the present to give a visual narrative of a concerned future. I have framed and presented my work in boxed frames and Perspex boxes to imply museum exhibits of endangered or extinct species. Some of my birds are based on Australian birds and some are imagined.
